We believe that God has gifted every single person in the congregation to serve others in some way, shape, or form. In the regular rhythms of church life, this serving can take many forms. Maybe you can lead a Community Group. Maybe you can play the violin. Maybe you can help teach the gospel to our congregation's children. Maybe you make amazing blueberry muffins. Regardless of how you are gifted, there are numerous ways to serve.
Here are just a few ways you can serve:
Children are a vital and growing part of our congregation. You can help care for them by regularly serving in the nursery or toddler classes during worship, or by helping lead our older kids classes during the Christian Formation Hour. For more information, see Grace Kids.
God warmly welcomes us into his presence through Jesus. We want to tangibly extend that welcome each week by making Grace a warm and hospitable place. The Welcome Table serves to help newcomers navigate their way around the church and make people feel welcome. To learn more, email Brian & Jessica Youtzy.
Lead a Community Group or host one where you live. For more information, email Jamie Afshari.
Members and regular attendees serve as ushers, greeters, readers, and communion servers each Sunday. For more information, email email@example.com.
Exercise your musical or sound technician gifts as part of our worship services. To serve, email Jess Alldredge.
Intercessors pray with people during the worship service and meet quarterly to pray for the needs of the church community, city, and world. To learn more, email Heather Andrews.
We serve Grace community members with food delivery in case of short-term needs, such as injuries, illnesses, and new children. Volunteers are added to an email list and asked to serve as they are able when needs arise. Currently additional volunteers are needed to help serve the community in this practical way. Please contact Rebecca Ifland if you are interested or have any questions.
