Grace began during the late 90’s in a Capitol Hill living room as a dream and a prayer. We longed to become a church that was drinking deeply of God’s life-giving grace in the heart of the city. Far from becoming self-righteous or self-serving, we sought to live with postures of openness and love towards our neighbors in the city.
Over the past two decades, God has answered that prayer in profound and surprising ways. During that time, we have become a church shaped and formed by God’s astonishing grace, the call to live as people of justice and repair in a beautiful but broken city, and monastic rhythms of intentional spiritual living in a city that is always in motion.
We are a collection of people from all walks and stages of life. Our stories, backgrounds, and interests are varied. Yet, we are bound up together in learning how to stumble after God in a city that is both beautiful and broken.
So wherever you are on your spiritual journey, whether you are committed to following Jesus Christ, are skeptical, or are just mildly curious about Christianity, we welcome you.
