Christian Formation Classes take place this week. Our next 7 classes will take place on March 5, March 12, April 2, April 16, May 14, & May 21. We typically meet the first 3 Sundays of each month. However, due to the Women's & Men's Retreats & Easter, we have fewer classes this Spring. See the calendar for more details. The church, by its very existence, is a living demonstration of the uniting power of Christ. God is a great uniter, and Satan is a great divider. To go deeper, listen to John's sermon here.Easter Baptisms! Throughout the centuries, the church has celebrated the sacrament of baptism on Easter Sunday. If you would like to be baptized (or have one of your children baptized), we'd love to have a conversation with you! Please reach out to John if you have questions.Congregational Meeting. We will have a congregational meeting on Sunday, March 5 immediately after the worship service. We will be presenting the 2023 budget and giving an update on our congregational discernment process concerning women in ministry leadership. Lunch provided for those attending the meeting. Please do not plan for your child(ren) to be unattended during this meeting. If you will need childcare, you must register HERE by tomorrow, February 28. Lent Resources + Ash Wednesday. Lent is the six-week period leading up to Easter Sunday and is an annual gift to us. During Lent, we take time to pause, assess our spiritual health, and make small changes in our daily rhythms to help us walk more closely with the Lord. Here are some great resources to help you have a fruitful Lent:

DCYF Project. On Saturday, March 18th, we are holding a work day as a way to offer support to a local Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) office that helps to care for kids in the foster care system. There are three ways to participate:1. Volunteer for the work day.2. Donate needed items3. Donate money towards the $2000 project budget by making an offering to STC prior to March 18th. You can find out more details here. Email Drew if you want to volunteer or donate items.Youth Group. If you missed the parents meeting, Nelson recorded a condensed version of what was covered regarding vision, mission and curriculum. You can view that video, here.

Cost to attend for the whole weekend is $240, with an option to attend on Saturday only for $100. Register to attend and see more details HERE. The registration deadline is March 8th at 11:59 PM. Stuffing will take place immediately after worship on March 12. Light snacks provided while we stuff. Please email Linn to sign up to help. Children welcome to help at this event. Hope to see you there! Sunday Morning Prayer Group. We have felt a steady and growing prompting from God to pray regularly for our congregation and the work God has given us to do. A group is now gathering during Christian Formation Hour to pray to God for his transforming and healing kingdom to spread in us and through us. For questions, please contact Darik Taniguchi.Save the Date: Men's Retreat. May 5-7 at the Rainbow Lodge. More details to come!

Serving the City Partner Lunches. Get to know more about some of the organizations that Serving the City (STC) partners with and learn about the people that they serve. In an effort to create more awareness of the work of STC, we will host a series of lunch meetings after worship on the 4th Sunday of each month. We will have a speaker from a different organization each month. We will gather at the Layne at 12:30 and the events will last approximately 90 minutes. Food will be provided, please RSVP by emailing Drew with any food restrictions so that we can plan accordingly.

Soul Care Seattle. Grace is blessed to partner with Soul Care Seattle, an urban retreat and spiritual direction ministry on Capitol Hill.  They have many different opportunities to grow your relationship with God.
