After worshipping at the same location on Capitol Hill for nearly thirty years, we learned our lease would not be renewed. Our initial prayer for a six-day-a-week Home for Grace has evolved into a search for a full-time forever Home for Grace. While this news came as a surprise, we trust that God is leading and preparing a home for us that allows us to live more fully into our vision to see the city of Seattle become more like the city of God.
The Home for Grace Campaign is a capital campaign to raise funds for our future home. We hope to raise $2.6 Million by December 2027.

For nearly three decades, God has faithfully provided Grace with places to worship, grow, serve, and belong. Now we have the extraordinary opportunity to put down roots in a home of our own. Through the remarkable generosity of early donors, we have the funds to purchase a building debt-free, allowing us to invest not in a mortgage, but in the ministry this new home can make possible.
Our Home for Grace campaign seeks to raise $2.6 million to create a home that is beautiful—a place of warmth and welcome; fruitful—a place where hospitality, formation, creativity, community, and mission can flourish; and sustainable—a gift we can steward faithfully for generations to come. These funds will help us renovate and equip the building, provide for its long-term care, and invest in the people needed to bring it fully to life.
We believe a home of our own can be more than a building, but a place where we deepen our life together and extend the grace we have received to our neighbors and our city.
Over the last few months, the Home for Grace Committee has diligently pursued every lead on available and suitable properties in Seattle. Unfortunately, there were not many such properties in Capitol Hill, but pretty quickly, a church building for sale in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle caught our attention. The building checks all the boxes in terms of gathering space, parking, and proximity to I-5 and public transit. Importantly, this building would also give us room to grow. We invite you to prayerfully discern alongside us as we continue to negotiate with the sellers.

The Home For Grace Campaign seeks to raise funds to cover anticipated short and long term costs of moving into a new home. The funds raised in this capital campaign will be earmarked to cover estimated remodeling costs, sanctuary, hospitality, and classroom furnishings, maintenance, and the establishment of long-term building reserves. While our projections remain best-guess estimates, we aim to lay a solid foundation for the ongoing financial health and sustainability of our congregation.
