Grace Kids
God not only loves us, but also loves our kids. As much as possible, we try to integrate our children into the life of the church.
Our children worship with us and are fully welcomed into our worship services. The vast majority of our little ones join us for the Lord's Supper each week. One of the joys (and challenges) of worship is learning how to worship across the generations. It can be a bit messy at times, but we think it is well worth it.
Our children also serve with us. Children assist with ushering, serving the Lord's Supper, reading in worship services, and helping out in the nursery. We want them to learn from a very early age that the Christian life is a life of serving others.
At the same time, we understand that children have unique needs and aren't just "miniature adults." For that reason, our Grace Kids ministry offers age-appropriate classes and learning opportunities for children. We have listed those below. If you have any questions about our Grace Kids, please contact Amy Grooms or Crystal Hawkins.
- Ages 0–2: The nursery is open through the entire service. Babies and toddlers will receive excellent care as they play together and have a snack. Please sign your child in when you arrive!
- Ages 2–3: The toddler class could be the best thing we have going. Toddlers play with toys and play dough, have a short Bible story, play instruments, sing songs together, and play some more.
- Preschoolers/kindergarteners: Kids start off in the worship service, and then parents walk them to class at the beginning of the sermon. In addition to learning stories from the Bible, kids in this class do crafts together.
- 1st–3rd graders: Kids start off in the worship service, and then parents walk them to class at the beginning of the sermon. After class, kids return to the service to join us in the Lord's Supper.
- 4th–6th graders: Same as 1st–3rd graders
For the promise is for you and for your children.
