Story
Grace started in the fall of 1997 with a handful of people meeting in a living room on East Aloha Street. That original group of folks had a bold dream. They wanted to plant a gospel-centered church in the heart of our city. They wanted a church not just for themselves, but a church for our city.
Nearly a decade and a half later, that dream continues to unfold. Grace has had its ups and downs, but we have grown to be a congregation of a few hundred men, women, and children.
We are a glorious collection of people from all walks of life. We are single, married, widowed, and divorced. We are software developers, artists, construction workers, children of various ages, and stay-at-home parents. We are striving to see the gospel take deep root in our own lives and have a profound impact throughout our city.
God has also blessed our congregation with the ability to plant our first daughter church: All Souls Church in West Seattle began public worship in the fall of 2010. We hope this is the first of many such births.
God is present in the church, not because of any power or goodness of its own.
Instead, God is present in the church to demonstrate that he is the God of all grace.
