John Haralson

Pastor

John and his wife, Linn, have called Capitol Hill home since 2004. An adult convert to Christianity, he loves being part of bringing the gospel to a skeptical and doubting city. Prior to coming to Grace, John served at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City and City Church of San Francisco.

Pastoral ministry is a second career for John. Earlier in life, John graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and served on active duty as an environmental engineer for 5 years. When he’s not pastoring or helping his kids with their homework, John enjoys running, reading, Seahawks football, and constantly remodeling his house.

Jess Alldredge

Worship Arts Director

Jess grew up in central Washington and has lived in Seattle since 2003 where he studied music at the University of Washington. Music has been an integral part of his life, beginning with violin at age four. Jess is passionate about the worshipping life of the church and loves using his abilities to creatively proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through music.

When he's not playing and writing music for the church, he enjoys playing and writing music for, well, other things. Jess and his wife Annie live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with their son Julian and absolutely love the city and people of Seattle.

Heidi Hansen

Grace Kids Director

Rainy days and a thriving arts culture keep Heidi delighting in Seattle. Native to the city, and alumna of the University of Washington's art history and education departments, she has spent several years working with children and families as teacher, nanny, and now as Director of Grace Kids.  Her years in these roles have established an unwavering drive to protect the dignity of children and a passion for celebrating and nurturing their burgeoning stories of faith.

She seeks solitude and creative inspiration in local parks. Discovery Park is her favorite, though Washington Park Arboretum is just as beautiful and only a block away from her home in Montlake.

Mary McMurray

Ministry Administrative Assistant

Andy Pelander

Church Planter

Andy, with his wife, Rachel, are in the process of planting All Souls Church—a new church plant in West Seattle. They work and live and frequent playgrounds with their three young children near Admiral Junction.

An ordained Presbyterian minister, Andy is working to help start a brand new church serving the West Seattle neighborhood and surrounding areas.

Andy has a graduate degree in theology and counseling, and has previously served as a pastor in the San Francisco area. In a former life, he has written for magazines, worked in design, and helped open a restaurant, in New York. Now, he’s most comfortable in the kitchen, behind a camera, on two wheels, holding a banjo, or walking his freakishly large golden retriever, Henry.
